Edwin Combe Hawes (1856-1928)

Edwin was born on May 19, 1856 in Hawesville, KY, the 8th child of Aurelia Combe and William Franklin Hawes. He married Angela Lillie Morris (1869-1958) on Dec 1, 1888 in Obion, TN. It appears Edwin moved to TN at the time of his marriage. The couple had three sons: John Morris Sr (1889-1978); William Eugene (Webe – 1891-1958); and Walter Herman (1894-1971). The oldest child of Aurelia Combe and William Franklin Hawes, William Franklin Jr ((1839-Jan 9, 1860) married Ann McAdams (1841-1885) had one child,Aurelia C Hawes (Feb 23,1863-Feb 25,1918). Aurelia, the daughter, married Charles H Carlton (1860-1932). The couple had four children: William Hawes (1891-1971); Emma Hennen (1892-1943); Sue N (1894-1982) and Joseph W (1805-1971).
